Very questionable motives.......

I would seem that the Dewsbury teacher suspended over the ‘veil’ incident has had her claim of discrimination and harassment turned down but was awarded £1,100 for ‘injury to feelings’ after she succeeded in her claim of victimisation.

She made what I found to be an incredibly naïve statement: ‘Integration requires people like me to be in the workplace so that people can see that we are not to be feared or mistrusted’ but how can we trust someone that will not be seen or accommodate how we feel?

It is interesting that Mrs Azmi's claim was brought as a test case under the new religious discrimination regulations, the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2004. Who is really behind this claim for ‘discrimination’ because the more I read about her behaviour it starts to resemble the Shabina Begum case who’s brother was guiding her.

Up until now, Mrs Azmi has been represented for free by Kirklees Law Centre. It now intends to request legal aid to take the case further. Let us hope that this is turned down. If the Kirklees Law Centre and this woman are so sure they are right, let the Law Centre and Azmi finance the case, enough taxpayer’s money has already been wasted on this pointless case.

She attended her job interview without her veil, even though a male governor was present, and did not wear it for teacher training days on taking up the post so why the change of heart regarding this?  Very questionable motives indeed.
