You could be fined £1000...........

The latest proposed ‘big brother’ tactic from the Blair government is to give council tax ‘inspectors’ the right to enter properties to snoop around and charge us even more council tax if we have had the audacity to improve our property.

You could be fined £1,000, and then £200 every day after that, if you do not let the inspectors in or fail to properly 'assist' them.

You will then be recorded on police and court records. This just goes to show that Labour only pays lip service to ‘human rights’ when it suits them.

This scheme is currently being tested in Northern Ireland where the Northern Ireland Secretary, Peter Hain, who wants to be Labour's deputy leader under Gordon Brown, said at the party's conference that the new system being introduced there was ‘fairer’. Well, we’ll see about that at the ballot box, won’t we?
