This fine body of people............Has anyone else in the Huddersfield area been afflicted by the ‘Parking Taliban’ aka Traffic ‘Attendants’ on a weekend? This fine body of people are scouring our streets on a weekend looking for easy pickings when people are engaged in recreational pursuits or just shopping. What an excellent opportunity for them to slap tickets on cars while people are enjoying themselves. What an excellent revenue raising idea by KMC. First they clog the roads with their stupid ‘traffic calming’ schemes and then when you try to park and shop to help the local economy, along comes the Traffic ’Attendant’ and issues you with a fine for having the audacity to park in Kirklees. Now you might think that this was in the town centre, but no, in the quiet village of Lindley – well done KMC you really know how to boost your coffers but haven’t a clue about sustaining the local economy. Do you gentlemen in KMC Towers ever wonder why people travel to Wakefield, Halifax and Sheffield to shop? |
