You know it is not in the interest of efficiency...........‘Speed’ or so-called ‘safety’ cameras are nothing but another source of income for the local authorities in exactly the same way as the Traffic Attendants are. When our local authority goes from having four Traffic Wardens to having forty plus ‘Traffic Attendants’ you know it is not in the interest of efficiency but income generation. The village of Lindley is a classic example where Burwood Road is Mon-Fri 8am to 6pm but KMC have ‘forgotten’ to put the signs up to say so and motorists are being booked even though they are legally parked. Yes, we need regulation but not exploitation and exploitation is what you are carrying out at present Kirklees Metropolitan Council. |
