A Family ParadiseHow many times have you searched the travel brochures looking for a holiday which will meet your needs and the kids. Well we have found that perfect place. Lykia World , Olu Deniz, Turkey.
Board is Full Board+, meaning all meals are included and drinks with meals, bottles of wine both red & white will be brought to your table and larger is on draught, soft drinks are available with all meals. It is not all inclusive so drinking is not the main thing on everyone's mind, so no worries of abusive English drunks. Don't get me wrong I can drink with the best of them but my family holiday is just that.

My husband and I have have travelled together many times. As a couple pre-children and as a family in more recent years. Having 3 children aged 6,4 & 3 hotels are out of the question because of the room size, so apartments are the only option for us and 4* means all sorts from my experience. Well in October 2004 off we go for our 1st time to Turkey been only 4 1/2 hours flight kids are still happy, We arrive at Lykia World around 9pm and as you turn the corner and see the whole place lit up it is a really lovely sight. Arriving in reception we are all greeted with a warm welcome a porter took all our cases to our rooms and we were given fresh sandwiches and cold cans of pop it is amazing how these small gestures make all the difference. Arriving at our room I am suprised at the size it is 2 bedroomed big bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, the size is that of an apartment, only thing is no kettle so if you are partial to a cuppa fetch a travel kettle, but mini bar is well stocked. Meals are of an exceptionally high standard and cater for all needs and tastes.
Meals are of an exceptionally high standard and cater for all needs and tastes.
3 main restaurants, 2 childrens and 5 specialty which are extra and range from 5-15 euro's. Unless you paticulalry wanted a change I personally wouldn't use these as the food on offer is good anyway and the menu's in the speciality restaurants are set but do change daily. Children are very well catered for and Lykia World has the best childrens club I have ever seen with fully qualified staff speaking many languages. Different activities are always taking part such as football, judo, wall climbing, belly dancing, swimming, volley ball, t-shirt printing and many more. They are able to have lunch and dinner there and at the end of the week the children put on their own show in the amphitheatre and it is always very good. Tip, get a price from a agent then go home look for prices seperately, this is what I did. One problem what & where now? | |
