Asian and Iraqi's Disturbance |

Police are Investigating after a man was shot with an airgun and another was stabbed in a disturbance involving Asians and Iraqis outside a Batley snooker club.
Officers were called to reports of a fight in Eyre Street, just off Bradford Road near the Hick Lane traffic lights, at 12.30pm last Friday.
Officers attended the scene and went into the Hot Shots snooker club and found a man inside with an injury to his arm thought to have been caused by an air weapon.
Out-side they found a man with a tree inch stab wound to his body. He was also thought to have a suspected fractured cheekbone.
Both men were taken to Dewsbury District Hospital but neither injury was thought to be serious.
Police later arrested two men aged 27 and 22, both from Dewsbury, in connection with the inncident. They were questioned and later released on bail pending futher enquires.
Three years ago the club was targeted in the early hours by hooded attackers who hurled petrol bombs into the premises.
Around 30 people were inside the club at the time. Neither of the petrol-filled bottles exploded but a blaze broke out and the clubbers fled.
