Airfix, the model kit firm has gone into administration.
The company said this decline follows dwindling sales in an age of games consoles and hi-tech, electronic toys. Not many kids these days have the skills or patience to make things so this news was not really a surprise.
Modern children seem to prefer electronic items to keep them amused and practical skills involving tools of any description holds no interest for them. I wonder what they will do if ever the power goes off? |
