Bin brother is watching you!Councils should be given powers to charge households for getting rid of non-recyclable rubbish; a think tank has urged the government.
This was the lead story on the BBC website recently, but what is considered non-recyclable and where does it come from? It is ok to penalise the householder with further charges but what about this government tackling the manufactures of products we as a nation buy to make them more environmentally friendly or would that be too difficult for them? We now have sensors being fitted to bins to monitor which address the waste is coming from and how much, so it looks like our councils are gearing themselves up to charge us anyway (Sunday Mail). You have been warned, bin brother is watching you! |
