St George's Square to change yet again

The proposal by Kirklees Metropolitan Council to drastically change St Georges Square (again) really is a non-starter.

The money they propose to spend on this would be better used on the terrible roads and pavements within Kirklees, providing more parking spaces for shoppers not taxis for a change and generally cleaning up the town centre.
