The tower of timeLindley clock tower was built in 1902 by James Nield Sykes of Field Head, Lindley and is located at the corner of Lidget Street and Daisy Lea Lane. The sculpture over the entrance door is Time and the four buttress figures are Truth facing East, Love facing South, Purity facing West and Justice facing North.
The frieze round the tower depicts Spring symbolised by the blooming almond (East), Summer symbolised by the rose (South), Autumn symbolised by the apple (West) and Winter symbolised by the holly (North).
